What's the plan? A weekend of revelry!
We miss you all. A lot. So we found a venue where we can set up camp for the weekend, giving us more time for catch-ups, festivities and all-round shenanigans. If you can, please come and spend a few days; get to know each other, bring the family, go to the beach, play with donkeys, catch up with old friends, get out on the water, watch sunsets, have campfires. There's accommodation on site, and loads of options in the local area if you want a few more creature comforts. Have a look at the Where can I stay? page for more info.
11am - 2.30pm ~ Picnic lunch & lawn games for early arrivers / campers
2.30-3.30pm ~ Time to freshen up, change, have a cuppa, explore
3.30pm ~ Welcome drinks & taking seats
4pm ~ Ceremony
4.30pm ~ Cocktail hour, photos
6pm ~ Seated for dinner
8pm ~ Cake cutting & toasts
8.30pm ~ First dance
More dancing, camp fires & merriment until late
East Soar operates for most of the year as an outdoor experience centre. There are stunning sea views, farm animals, fire pits, camping and more. Plus it's in the middle of a beautiful stretch of the south Devon coast with traditional fishing villages & sandy coves; surf breaks & cliff-top walks; quiet estuaries and rolling hills. It's also only a stone's throw from Salcombe; a picturesque sailing town with art galleries, boutiques and more good seafood than you can shake a stick at.
If you'd like to join us for more than just the wedding day, IDEAL! We'll be around all weekend and we'd love to see you for as much of it as possible. We have a couple of spaces left in the onsite camping for Friday and Saturday night (again, see this page for more info). If you want to stay even longer, let us know; we'll try to work something out!
Friday
Casual fireside rehearsal dinner at the farm to kick off the weekend - all invited!
Saturday
A full day of food and fun: breakfast on-site for campers; an early-morning walk/swim excursion to a nearby beach; picnic lunch and lawn games; A WEDDING; drinks, dinner, toasts, dancing, campfires.
Sunday
Recovery brunch at the farm.
A short boat trip to take in some sights ... departing Salcombe at 2pm, returning 4.30pm. Let us know if you're interested in joining; spaces are limited.
As much as possible, we'd like to enjoy the local area and (more importantly) your company! If the weather's a total disaster we'll shelter in place and catch up over victuals, libations and amusements.
We can't wait to see you.
